Renault India increases prices up 2.15 pc
Date: 21 Dec 2014
Renault India, the makers of the popular Duster, Pulse,
Koleos, Fluence and Scala cars, has announced a marginal increase in prices on
its existing product range. The company attributes the price increase to the
increasing input costs. The increase in prices of the cars will be up to 2.5 pc
and will be effective from January 1, 2015.
Rafael Treguer, Vice President, Sales and Marketing, Renault
India said the company has so far absorbed
the rising input costs, but a sustained challenging market environment has
compelled it to increase its prices. The industry is eagerly looking forward to
pro-business policies to reignite the automobile industry in India, he added.
Renault India Pvt. Ltd. is a fully owned subsidiary of
Renault S.A.S., France. It exports the Duster to right-hand drive markets, with
India set to become a production hub for right-hand drive cars.
Renault cars are manufactured in the manufacturing facility
located in Oragadam, Chennai, with a capacity of 480,000 units per annum.
Currently, Renault India also has more than 145 dealer outlets across the
country with sales and service quality.
